CY CABLE
A CY Cable is also referred to as instrumentation cable, are commonly used as interconnecting cables for measuring, controlling and regulation in control equipment for production, assembly lines, office machines and systems for data processing.
For people who require interference-free transmission, CY cables are required. CY cables have a tinned copper wire braid and a Polyethylene Terephthalate (PETP) separator. These protect the cable from external electromagnetic influences and mechanical stress.
CY cables come with a grey sheath, are highly flexible multi core cables with (class 5) copper conductors. They also have a voltage rating of 300/500v, having been manufactured to meet the requirements of BS6500 and VDE0250.
CY cables come in both Low Smoke Zero Halogen and PVC versions, each installation should always have the correct cable used.
